Ontario: Slippery Winds Lodge

A short float-plane trip from Fort Frances, Ontario, takes you to the lodge located on a peninsula between Yoke Lake and Straw Lake. Costa Rica: Silver King Lodge

Getting a tease of what it is like to catch Tarpon from a kayak on a previous trip to Florida Jim was itching to get another shot at these great fish. So he asked his friends Joe Lynberg and Steve Juries to join him at Silver King Lodge on the north east coast of Costa Rica for some simply insane Tarpon action. Costa Rica is home to the some of the largest Tarpon in the world. Tarpon (Megalops atlanticus) are the “Silver Kings” of these coastal waters and can grow beyond 6 feet in length and weigh as much as 350 lbs.
